Japan: Coca-Cola releases clear Zero drink

So how was the taste? The packaging says Coke Zero is "with a touch of fruit flavor," but it's hard to define the new flavor precisely. The taste reminded us a bit of a combination of Coke Zero and Schweppes' Russian drink. When we gave the Y3000 a taste to five different people, three of them liked it and two others - less. It should be noted that those who did not like - do not drink Coke Zero, but prefer regular Coke.

Here are some of the descriptions we got from those who loved: "Fruit popsicle taste, something exotic, apple flavor, vanilla flavor, gum flavor." The two, who didn't like it, explained that the taste felt too sweet to them, and mainly because "it doesn't have the unique rough taste of regular cola."

So the bottom line is, chances are, if you love Coke Zero and are open to new flavors, you'll love the product. Although the new product will be sold only for a limited time, the question is, would it be successful in Israel if it were sold regularly? Our bet is probably not, because Israelis don't like flavored cola and prefer the old, familiar taste. Does the Y3000 have a chance of becoming a viral trend like pistachio crunch or roll zero? There is a situation.
